Traveling & other basic tips.
So many of us want to travel, to see the world, but don’t think we have the money to do so…
It’s actually quite do-able.
I’m focusing on travelling for gigs mainly, because I do this regularly, often it’s actually cheaper to go to Europe, than it is to go to London for example. (Mostly because trains are priced extortionately) But there’s a hell of a lot of people who do it for Sports events too.
It’s worth mentioning first that you should never travel without insurance but… when travelling on a budget… you should probably try to avoid the extras that come with it like sports baggage cover (as you wouldn’t have any)
Other Basic tips:
i) Planning properly and booking in advance is always a good idea, although last minute flight deals can be cheaper.
ii)Couple/Group insurance is usually available, and is cheaper than insuring two or more people separately.
iii) Use a budget airline if possible… or the countries local airline.
iv) If there’s a group of you, don’t be afraid to room share, splits the cost of the hotel.
